IGPP signed online a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TRENDS Research and Advisory (TRENDS) recently to host joint annual international conferences starting in 2022.
Under this MoU, IGPP and the TRENDS will cooperate in organizing a series of international academic conferences on “China and the Gulf States in Global Governance” in the coming years to promote academic, educational and humanistic exchanges and cooperation and to enhance mutual understanding between China and the Gulf States. The annual conferences aim to conduct theoretical explorations of the development trends and visions of China and the Gulf States, as well as bilateral relations and interactions in the framework of global governance.
Keeping pace with China's globalization, IGPP has established close academic cooperation and student exchanges with a range of academic institutions in the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Africa, and Southeast Asia. The partnership with the TRENDS further enriches IGPP’s global outreach and reflects the importance of developing a trusting and cooperative relationship between China and the Gulf States.
In the future, IGPP will work with the TRENDS to develop scientific research cooperation in a wide range of areas, including global public policy and governance, bilateral relations and geopolitics, and economic, social, environmental and security cooperation.
