E-Symposium

Presidential Elections 2020 & Shifting US Policies Toward the Middle East

The Middle East region historically enjoys huge importance in US perspective. This fact stems from political, strategic, economic and security considerations. Therefore, all eyes are directed to the approaching US presidential elections scheduled on November 3rd, 2020. The results of this round of elections – to a large extent – will define the tracks of US policies towards the Middle East, throughout the coming four years.

This symposium sought to foresee the prospects of probable change in the US policy towards the Middle East, through discussing the following themes:

First Theme: US policy towards Middle East … fixed and changeable trends

Second Theme: How the candidates for US presidential elections (Trump & Biden) view the issues of Middle East

Third Theme: Perspectives of US presidential elections candidates (Trump & Biden) about Gulf Security

Fourth Theme: Attitudes of (Trump & Biden) towards Political Islam movements & Muslim Brotherhood

Fifth Theme: Prospects of Probable Change in US Policy towards Middle East Region
