This lecture explores the ways in which production and consumption of knowledge have traditionally been conducted and how the recent developments in artificial intelligence technologies have affected and influenced them.  Drawing from first-hand industry experiences, several examples of such transformation will be presented.  The lecture will conclude with a discussion of several larger issues that have been introduced with the developments of AI in the context of knowledge.
