In this lecture, A New European Approach to Muslim Brotherhood: The Examples of Austria and Germany, organized by TRENDS Research & Advisory, Dr. Mouhanad Khorchide will analyze the developments associated with the new European approach toward the Brotherhood in Austria and Germany in particular. He will also discuss the background related to this approach.

Dr. Khorchide will also discuss the reactions to these developments and provide some of the factors that may sometimes lead to some public figures sympathizing with Islamism. In addition, he will highlight the importance of cooperation with the think tanks which fight religious extremism to open up possibilities of the exchange of expertise and research experiences worldwide.
