His Excellency Mohamed Al Khaja was sworn in as the UAE Ambassador to Israel on 14 February 2021. Previously, Al Khaja was appointed Chief of Staff to the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on 12 September 2010. Within the Ministry, Al Khaja has held key positions such as membership of the Political Affairs Council, Chairman of the Budget Committee, and Member of the Diplomat Committee.
Alongside His Excellency’s diplomatic and political career, Al Khaja’s previous experience includes sectors such as energy management, disarmament and international security, production and procurement management, and research and business development in a number of entities, including the International Petroleum Investment Company, Borouge Pte Ltd-Singapore, and the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research. His Excellency has taken part in local, regional, and international committees and board memberships such as OMV Aktiengesellschaft and Borealis AG-Vienna, the Pak-Arab Refining Company (PARCO)-Pakistan, Emarat Petroleum-Dubai, Falah Fund-Kazakhstan, Hyundai Oil Bank-South Korea, and Oman Polypropylene-Oman. Al Khaja holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Northeastern University in Boston and a Master of Business Administration in Energy Management from Vienna University of Economics and Business. His Excellency was born in Abu Dhabi on 25 June 1980 and is married with four boys. His interests include motocross, soccer, water skiing, running, and cycling.
