Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, stated that Expo 2020 Dubai, UAE, is an inclusive global platform offering a vision a bright future in which the next generations would thrive and aspire to wider horizons of cooperation to make history and achieve sustainable development.
In a statement on the occasion of the inauguration of the world’s most important exhibition, Dr. Al-Ali stated that the participation of 192 countries in the Expo 2020 Dubai testifies to the world’s trust in the capabilities of the UAE, given its extraordinary development journey that was launched by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace. That journey continues today under the country’s wise leadership. Dr. Al-Ali stressed that the UAE, both in terms of its leadership and people, views this exhibition as an opportunity for connecting minds to shape the future through a civilized vision based on the values of tolerance, coexistence, diversity and knowledge.
Dr. Al-Ali pointed out that the fact that the organization by the UAE of this edition of Expo coincides with the celebration of the UAE’s Golden Jubilee and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Federation reaffirms that the country is a great homeland for mankind and merits the title: “The World in a State”. It is also deservedly described as a country of tolerance, coexistence and human fraternity that is also a dynamic host of young talents, opportunities and challenges.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali said that the participation of TRENDS through an independent pavilion within the “Aqdar World Summit” at the Expo reflects the importance of this huge international event as one of the world’s most prominent economic and knowledge platforms. He also stressed that TRENDS’ participation in the exhibition comes in the context of its quest to emphasize knowledge, scientific research, consultations, and studies to help devise solutions to urgent challenges and issues regionally and internationally, noting that TRENDS will be showcasing a collection of its publications on various topics. TRENDS will also host a number of lectures and seminars connected to the participation under the slogan “From Foreseeing to Participation in Building the Future”.
