His Excellency Mohamed Mahmoud Al Khaja, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the State of Israel, visited TRENDS Research and Advisory on Sunday August 29, 2021 where he got acquainted with its departments, sections and research and scientific products. His Excellency praised TRENDS’ support for the global scientific research activity, as well as its support and encouragement for young researchers.

His Excellency Mohamed Al Khaja was received by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, at “TRENDS” headquarters in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of a group of researchers, in addition to members of “TRENDS Council for Young Researchers”.

His Excellency Mohamed Mahmoud Al Khaja, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the State of Israel, said research centers and think tanks play a vital role in supporting decision-makers through their rigorous scientific research and studies, which contribute to making informed decisions.

His Excellency praised the active, constructive role played by the “TRENDS” in supporting scientific research activity at the regional and global levels, and commended the valuable symposiums and lectures it organizes which promote the dissemination of scientific thought and knowledge-based planning.

His Excellency Mohamed Al Khaja rated highly the pioneering and unique experience of “TRENDS” in supporting young researchers and honing their research and scientific skills, stressing that “TRENDS” has taken it upon itself, from day one, to prepare a new generation of young nationals who will take up the mantle of scientific research.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, said the visit of His Excellency Mohamed Mahmoud Al Khaja, Ambassador of the UAE to the State of Israel, carried a lot of positive meanings, notably His Excellency’s support for research centers and his interest in their scientific research products which help decision-makers.

Dr. Al-Ali explained that ways to enhance cooperation and partnership between TRENDS Research and Advisory and research centers in Israel were discussed during the visit. He added that “TRENDS” is open to productive partnerships with different academic and scientific research institutions worldwide, in its pursuit to publish research and studies and build bridges of cooperation and trust, and instill the culture of peace and tolerance among peoples.

Dr. Al-Ali briefed His Excellency the UAE Ambassador to the State of Israel about the agenda of the conference on “The Abraham Accord: Opportunities for Promoting Cooperation, Tolerance and Development in the Region”, which will be organized by TRENDS Research and Advisory in cooperation with the Moshe Dayan Center at Tel Aviv University on October 27, 2021 in the Tel Aviv University’s main hall. He emphasized that “TRENDS” is the first Emirati research center to organize an event in Israel since the signing of the Abraham Accord.

At the end of the visit, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, presented to His Excellency Mohamed Mahmoud Al Khaja, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the State of Israel, a set of publications and encyclopedias issued by TRENDS in 15 foreign languages, especially those issued in Hebrew.
