Organized by TRENDS Research and Advisory, “TRENDS 1st Summit for Dialogue between Think Tanks and the Media” kicks off on Monday, July 26, at Dubai World Trade Centre.

The Summit, which will start at 12:00 pm, will be attended by the editors-in-chief of several newspapers and directors of news agencies and media offices, and will take the form of a panel discussion focusing on two main topics: (1) cooperation between think tanks and media institutions to empower and protect young people and enhance their awareness; and (2) the future role of young people in think-tanks and media organizations and their pivotal role in the process of sustainable development.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, pointed out that the summit will take the form of a panel discussion and will focus on developing visions for cooperation between think-tanks and media institutions to strengthen the role of young people and support scientific research, both of which are important inputs for knowledge production.

He said the summit reflects TRENDS’ belief in the importance of young people as future leaders and engines of progress and advancement, adding that the summit aims to establish a close partnership between think-tanks and media institutions to empower young people and reinforce their research skills, in order to create young researchers capable of strategic analysis and future forecasting.
