A delegation from TRENDS Research and Advisory paid a visit to Ras Al-Khaimah Government Media Office, where they discussed a range of opportunities for scientific and research cooperation in areas of common interest. The delegation was headed by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory. In the presence of Fahad Essa Al-Mahri, Head of Global Barometer Department at TRENDS, Tarek Kamal Eddine, Head of Corporate Communication & Media Relations at Ras Al-Khaimah Government Media Office, and Reem Omar Al Ubaidy, the Head of Strategic Communication Department at TRENDS, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali briefed Ms. Heba Fatani, Director General of Ras al-Khaimah Government Media Office, about the activities of TRENDS as an independent research center. He explained the studies, research and publications carried out by the Center and consultation services it provides, which are complemented by its wider network of partnerships which aim to spread knowledge, and foresee the future and participate in making it. Dr. Al-Ali also received a brief explanation of the activities and media role of Ras Al-Khaimah Government Media Office.

Dr. Al-Ali said the visit was undertaken as part of TRENDS’ strategy to strengthen research and scientific cooperation and partnerships with local, regional and international think tanks and research institutions in order to benefit from their accumulated experience in various fields. It also reflected the distinguished ties between the two parties and their endeavors to widen their knowledge base and make use of their accumulated research and scientific experiences. He further pointed out that the discussions covered the potential for conducting joint research in areas of common interest, such as social, political, economic, futures, along with field studies and opinion polls. Both parties also covered potential exchanges of experts and researchers between the two parties to benefit from their experiences and contribute to the publications and academic journals issued by both parties and their websites.   For her part, Ms. Heba Fatani, Director General of Ras al-Khaimah Government Media Office, expressed appreciation for TRENDS’ research and scientific efforts and its effective role in spreading knowledge, describing its publications and studies as objective and scientifically robust.   Ms. Fatani welcomed cooperation with TRENDS as a means of serving their common goals, decision-makers and the wider community by supporting research activities in a way that enables deeper understanding of various regional and international issues and addressing them from a holistic perspective. She stressed that cooperation between TRENDS and Ras al-Khaimah Government Media Office would lay the foundations for distinguished relations between them that would widen their shared knowledge base and help them benefit from their accumulated experiences in areas of common interest.
