TRENDS Research and Advisory has signed a memorandum of understanding with the International Institute for Cultural Diplomacy to promote scientific and research cooperation in the fields of common interest, in addition to cooperation in organizing joint workshops, symposiums and conferences.

In the signing of the memorandum, the two sides were represented by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, and Dr Mohammad Kamil Al-Muaini, Chairman of the International Institute for Cultural Diplomacy.

On this occasion, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali explained that the signing of the memorandum of understanding with the International Institute for Cultural Diplomacy stems from TRENDS’ keenness to enhance its partnerships with various institutions engaged in building knowledge as a path to foreseeing the future.

Dr Mohammad Kamil Al-Muaini, Chairman of the International Institute for Cultural Diplomacy, said the institute, through the memorandum of understanding, seeks to strengthen its communication with specialized think tanks and research centers in order to disseminate knowledge and the values of peace along with the renunciation of hate and violence.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, received at TRENDS a delegation from the International Institute for Cultural Diplomacy including Dr Mohammad Kamil Al-Muaini, Chairman of the institute, Mr. Ammar Al-Muhairi, and the writer Nassir Al-Dhahiri. During the meeting, they discussed opportunities for cooperation between TRENDS Research and Advisory and the International Institute for Cultural Diplomacy in the field of scientific research through joint workshops and other activities.

Dr. Muhammed Abdullah Al-Ali briefed the delegation about the key activities of TRENDS and its independent research work, which focuses on foreseeing the future through knowledge, in addition to the events it already held and those it intends to hold in the future.

The delegation of the International Institute for Cultural Diplomacy praised the efforts of “TRENDS” and its various activities, saying that it they would empower young people and encourage them to engage in scientific research, spread the values of coexistence and tolerance, and present a positive image of our region’s potential and progress worldwide.

At the end of the meeting, the delegation toured TRENDS and was briefed about the work of its departments and sections. Dr. Muhammed Abdullah Al-Ali presented a set of TRENDS’ publications and books to members of the visiting delegation, and praised the efforts being made by the International Institute for Cultural Diplomacy to help place the United Arab Emirates among the top ranked countries in the world, especially given that culture is an important enabler of soft diplomacy and communication among peoples.
