TRENDS Research and Advisory is participating in the 40th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair 2021, one of the three largest book fairs in the world, which will run from 3 to 13 November at the Expo Centre Sharjah, under the slogan “There’s always a right book”.
The TRENDS booth, located at Stand No. H1 in Hall 4, will display more than 120 publications, including original and translated books, and a series of scientific publications, including “Strategic Directions”, “Economic Trends”, “Trends on Political Islam”, “Policy Papers”, “Lecture Papers”, and others.
Enhancing cooperation and partnership
Through its participation in the Sharjah Book Fair, TRENDS aims to open up to various cultural institutions, regional and international publishing houses, and global think tanks to strengthen cooperation in scientific research and contribute to the dissemination of culture and knowledge.
The Sharjah International Book Fair, organized by the Sharjah Book Authority, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, will bring together internationally acclaimed writers and authors in an event that will host 440 activities, panel discussions and a literary, knowledge and cultural symposium.
The 40th edition of the fair will exhibit over 15 million books by more than 1,576 publishing houses from 83 countries around the world. These books will include over 1.3 million unique titles in various languages, with 110,000 being presented for the first time.
A global beacon of knowledge
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, said that the Sharjah International Book Fair has become a global beacon of science and a unique forum for people of thought and culture, attracting major international publishing houses and think tanks that are keen to learn more about the book industry and new publishing movement.
Al-Ali pointed out that the Sharjah Book Fair has become a prominent event in the publishing industry, both in the region and the world, adding that TRENDS’ participation in the fair stems from both the importance it places on cultural events that bring people together and its commitment to being actively present in both regional and international cultural forums.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Ali indicated that TRENDS is participating in the event with a diverse range of quality publications, covering a wide range of regional and global topics, such as political Islam movements, technology and artificial intelligence, tolerance and coexistence, economic development, and environment and sustainable development. He added that TRENDS’ publications are characterized by credibility and objectivity, and have become a reliable reference for researchers, scholars and academics in the region and the world.

Among the TRENDS publications that will be featured in the Sharjah Book Fair is its series on the Muslim Brotherhood: The Muslim Brotherhood: Circumstances Surrounding Its Establishment; Organizational Structure of the Muslim Brotherhood: Characteristics, Objectives, and Future; The Special Apparatus of the Muslim Brotherhood: Inception, Objectives and Evolution; and Economic Structure of the Muslim Brotherhood: Finance and Business Networks.
Other titles on display will include Reviews in the Experiences of Islamist Movements in the Post-Arab Spring: The Ennahda Movement as a Model; The Closed Circle: Joining and Leaving the Muslim Brotherhood in the West; and Cross-Border Crisis Management: Strategic Approaches to Transforming Risks into Opportunities.
The TRENDS stand will also showcase a set of books that monitor the transformations the world has witnessed in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, most notably The Post-Covid-19 World: Limits of Possible Change in the Global Order; The European Union’s Role in the Post-Covid-19 World; Oil Markets in the Post-Pandemic World; The UAE and the Covid-19 Pandemic: A Model in Crisis Management and Achieving Sustainable Recovery; Covid-19: Toward Reviving Economies and New Normal Development Strategies; and Covid-19 Vaccine Development: A Fierce Race to End the Pandemic and Learning from History.
