A delegation from TRENDS Research & Advisory meets H.E. Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Minister of State and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University
ABU DHABI, February 3 – His Excellency Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Minister of State and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University, discussed means to strengthen research cooperation with a delegation representing TRENDS Research & Advisory.
The meeting took place recently at the university premises in the presence of TRENDS Research & Advisory’s Director-General, Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al-Ali. Other senior TRENDS officials, Executive Director Mr. Omar Al-Nuaimi, Head of Scientific Research Sector and Scientific Advisor Mr. Ahmad Muhammad Al-Astad, and Director of Scientific Publications Department Mr. Eisa Ibrahim Al-Raeesi, were also present on the occasion.
H.E. Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh was given a detailed presentation by Dr. Mohamed Al-Ali related to the various TRENDS activities, focus areas, and its philosophy in its research and events. Dr. Al-Ali also shared the TRENDS Research Plan for 2021, which aims to conduct research on international risks and challenges. He also elaborated on the TRENDS plan to train future leaders, provide consultations to different institutions and organizations, raise awareness about Middle East issues for the international public opinion, and build partnerships with global decision support centers, international organizations, and government and non-government institutions.
Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al-Ali presented copies of the latest TRENDS publications and a “Momento of Excellence” to H.E. Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh to recognize his vital role in enriching the cultural and educational excellence in the UAE.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mohamed Al-Ali expressed his vision to strengthen research and scientific cooperation between TRENDS and the UAE University, which is one of the most prestigious universities in the region. He praised the quality of education it provides to students and its pivotal role in serving the UAE community.
Dr. Al-Ali said that TRENDS gives priority to enhancing cooperation with the UAE University and its several research centers and strengthening partnership with it in research areas of mutual interest, especially in training, opinion polls, and field surveys.
