
Kevin Donegan

Vice Admiral Kevin Donegan, USN (ret) served as Commander of the U.S. Fifth Fleet and the 32 Nation Combined Maritime Forces Coalition in the Middle East. He also served as Director of Operations for U.S. Central Command where he managed combat operations for all U.S. Joint military forces in the Middle East. In those roles he led teams that executed joint combat operations at sea and in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, and Yemen.
He commanded the US Aircraft Carrier Strike Group forward based in Japan, the nuclear Aircraft Carrier USS Carl Vinson, an Amphibious Command Ship, and an FA-18 Strike Fighter Squadron. He is a graduate of Naval Test Pilot School and the Naval Fighter Weapons School TOPGUN.
In the Pentagon he led the teams that developed the U.S. Maritime Strategy and the Department of Defense Strategic Review, the guiding strategies for the Navy and Department of Defense. In addition, he was responsible for international naval relationships with 63 countries
In the private sector, Vice Admiral Donegan was Executive Vice President for Convergint, the global leader in integrated security solutions. He is also a Distinguished Senior Fellow on National Security at Middle East Institute, a National Security Expert at the “Cipher Brief” and a board member for several public and private firms. He has been a National Security lecturer at Harvard, the U.S. Naval War College, and the University of Virginia.
