TRENDS Group is an independent, privately owned research organization founded in Abu Dhabi in 2014 as TRENDS Research & Advisory. In 2026, it was rebranded as TRENDS Group. The Group comprises five entities: TRENDS Research & Advisory, TRENDS Global, TRENDS Observatory for Social Phenomena and Transformations, TRENDS Barometer, and TRENDS International Training Institute.

TRENDS Group focuses on studying and analyzing global issues of shared human concern, examining opportunities and challenges across geopolitical, economic, social, and intellectual dimensions. It seeks to address the questions these issues raise through rigorous, objective, and scientifically grounded analysis, thereby enhancing a comprehensive understanding of their various dimensions and contributing to shaping their trajectories. Its work is guided by the principles of critical analysis, evaluation, and foresight, underpinned by high standards of academic rigor and methodological integrity.

TRENDS Group also places strong emphasis on futures studies, aiming to anticipate emerging developments across multiple domains. It actively builds strategic partnerships with leading think tanks, academic institutions, and international governmental and non-governmental organizations. Through these collaborations, TRENDS leverages global expertise to strengthen its research capacity and expand its regional and international impact. This is further supported by the organization of scientific events—including conferences, seminars, lectures, and panel discussions—which facilitate the exchange of knowledge and research experience. In parallel, the Group produces a wide range of publications covering diverse fields within its areas of interest.

TRENDS Group and its affiliated entities have received numerous prestigious awards and recognitions. These include the Emirates Award for Leadership in the Labor Market (for two consecutive years), the Peace Award from the World Islamic Council, and the Sustainability Award from the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair. TRENDS Research & Advisory has been ranked among the top ten emerging research institutions globally by the University of Pennsylvania, which also recognized it among the leading think tanks contributing to knowledge dissemination and responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, TRENDS received the Best Research Center Award for 2024 from the Arab Global Network, the Best International Pavilion Award at the Nairobi International Book Fair, and the 2025 Tolerance Award from the UAE Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence. It has also set a Guinness World Record for organizing the largest scientific research event, maintains ISO certification for more than six consecutive years, and continues to expand its global partnerships.
