TRENDS Research & Advisory, through its virtual office in Egypt, signed three Memorandums of Understanding with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Mediaverse for Artificial Intelligence, and Ahl Elmedia news platform. The agreements aim to enhance research, media, and academic cooperation, produce joint studies, and organize conferences, symposiums, workshops, and specialized intellectual events.
The three MoUs, signed at the conclusion of TRENDS’ participation in the second edition of the Arab Youth Media Creativity Summit 2025, seek to establish collaboration in training, development, and specialized advisory, as well as the exchange of academic and media expertise. The goal is to advance global scientific research and support creative and scholarly contributions of young researchers.
Developing Joint Programs
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, stated that expanding cooperation and strategic partnerships with academic and media institutions aims to support knowledge and create an integrated developmental and intellectual movement that connects scientific research with media and modern technology. He added that this movement is being driven by young researchers and media professionals to advance the knowledge economy based on innovation, as well as responsible and purposeful media capable of leading digital transformation.
He noted that the signing of the three MoUs reflects TRENDS’ commitment to strengthening and diversifying its strategic partnerships with universities and academic and media institutions. This opens the door to developing joint academic, research, and media programs that focus on regional and international issues, particularly climate change, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and advanced technology. In addition, specialized training programs will be developed in cooperation with the TRENDS International Training Institute, targeting youth to enhance their creative and intellectual capacities.
Exchanging Knowledge and Expertise
H.E. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, affirmed that the cooperation agreement with TRENDS represents an important opportunity to strengthen ties between academic and research institutions at both the regional and international levels. He noted that this collaboration will positively contribute to developing joint scientific solutions to global issues and crises, as well as advancing Sustainable Development Goals. He explained that the partnership also aims to foster the exchange of scientific and practical knowledge and expertise, and to implement joint research projects that address social and economic challenges.
Dr. Abdel Ghafar added that the agreement is part of the Academy’s strategy to promote synergy between academic institutions and think tanks, expand its network with leading global research centers, enhance its research capabilities, develop its educational and training programs, and contribute to building qualified professionals across diverse fields.
AI-Driven Media
Ahmed El Tahry, CEO of Mediaverse for Artificial Intelligence, stated that the cooperation agreement with TRENDS marks a pivotal step toward strengthening the partnership between scientific research and media. He explained that this collaboration will help improve understanding of the challenges facing the world and foster constructive intercultural dialogue, especially as TRENDS has become one of the most prominent and trusted think tanks in the Middle East, distinguished by its constructive perspectives, meticulous monitoring, and objective analyses of contemporary crises.
He added that the cooperation also covers training media professionals on digital tools, smart journalism, and producing AI-supported content enriched with interactive infographics. In addition, the partnership will launch training programs aimed at developing young people’s skills in applied scientific research and innovative media.
Scientific Analyses and Insights
Dr. Engy Lotfy, Founder of the Ahl Elmedia news platform, emphasized that the knowledge partnership with TRENDS Research & Advisory seeks to advance research and media output by producing innovative media content grounded in accurate and reliable scientific analyses and insights. She noted that such content will address current global issues with the aim of raising public awareness about their realities and future implications.
She added that the two sides agreed to cooperate in the field of media training, particularly in light of the artificial intelligence revolution that has radically transformed media production. AI-driven journalism, automated content generation, and real-time analytics are reshaping how media content is created and delivered.

Meanwhile, TRENDS Research & Advisory presented students of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport with a collection of its latest research publications and specialized studies in the fields of artificial intelligence, advanced technology, environment, and climate, along with economic publications and strategic papers. The initiative aims to promote a culture of scientific research, support knowledge rooted in future foresight, and empower youth academically and intellectually.
