Könül Şahin, a regional analyst at the Ankara Policy Center focusing on Armenia–Azerbaijan and Armenia–Türkiye relations, is a graduate of Baku State University. She writes articles and analyses for the Institute for Development and Diplomacy (IDD) at ADA University, the Baku-based Topchubashov Center, the Caucasus Strategic Perspective journal of the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), The Caspian Post and others. Her work covers topics such as Armenian–Azerbaijani coexistence experiences, Azerbaijan’s landmine problem, and the role of women in society. She has also taken part in regional cooperation projects focused on media and dialogue.
