Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, affirmed that International Volunteer Day is a global occasion to celebrate human values and promote the spirit of giving. He noted that volunteering has become a fundamental pillar in supporting sustainable development and shaping a better future for future generations.

Dr. Al-Ali explained that TRENDS Research & Advisory views volunteering through a holistic lens as a driving force for development and a foundation for strengthening a global spirit of generosity and responsibility. Intellectual volunteering, grounded in scientific research, is no longer a complementary initiative; it has become a strategic investment in the future, moving beyond providing direct assistance to creating lasting, innovative solutions.

He added that think tanks and scientific research institutions now serve as a compass that guides humanitarian and charitable work toward more efficient and impactful pathways. Through its studies of environmental, social, and economic challenges, TRENDS produces accurate data and rigorous research that enhance the impact of volunteer efforts and help ensure they reach the communities most in need.

He highlighted that TRENDS embodies this role by building an extensive network of strategic partnerships with leading local and international institutions in humanitarian work, volunteering, and sustainable development, including the Emirates Red Crescent, DIHAD Sustainable Organization, and the Human Fraternity Foundation. These partnerships, he said, represent a model of synergy between innovative thinking and meaningful field action.

Dr. Al-Ali concluded that the United Arab Emirates stands as an inspiring model for this global approach to giving and institutional humanitarian work. He stressed that TRENDS is proud to serve as a knowledge and humanitarian bridge that connects these values with the world.
