TRENDS Research & Advisory has launched a new awareness series, KAFIH (Fight), as part of its ongoing efforts to simplify knowledge and enhance community awareness of the dangers posed by the Muslim Brotherhood. The series provides short, direct academic content that highlights the group’s methods of infiltrating society and influencing ideas.
The KAFIH series was launched as part of TRENDS’ activities at the BRIDGE Summit 2025. It relies on short video clips that document the group’s practices and explain its propaganda and organizational mechanisms, drawing on in-depth data and verified facts from the TRENDS Encyclopedia on the Muslim Brotherhood, one of the center’s most prominent research publications in the field of political Islam.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, affirmed that the launch of the KAFIH series represents a direct, necessary, research-based response to current challenges, as the group has increasingly sought to exploit modern media tools to penetrate society culturally and intellectually.
He added that the series falls within TRENDS’ responsibility as a research institution to promote community knowledge, particularly among young people. Furthermore, he noted that “KAFIH”, in its initial stages, aims to dismantle the Muslim Brotherhood’s concept of “empowerment” and expose how the group exploits communication channels and community initiatives as tools for recruitment and ideological indoctrination, thereby enhancing awareness of mechanisms of directed organizational infiltration.
Hamad Al Hosani, Director of the Political Islam Studies Department at TRENDS, stated that the launch of the KAFIH series represents an essential step toward engaging the public in a contemporary language that aligns with current digital content consumption patterns. He emphasized that the series presents reliable, evidence-based information while avoiding the emotional and misleading rhetoric adopted by the group. He further explained that KAFIH offers simplified, scientifically grounded content supported by credible sources and rooted in many years of research reflected in the TRENDS Encyclopedia.
The KAFIH series draws on the TRENDS Encyclopedia of the Muslim Brotherhood, a comprehensive reference work comprising 35 volumes, 18 of which have been published and translated into 16 languages. The encyclopedia serves as a fundamental resource for the study of political Islamic movements, offering in-depth and well-documented analyses of the group’s history, ideology, funding mechanisms, and global organizational networks. Through this series, TRENDS seeks to transform this extensive body of academic research into accessible digital content for young audiences, ensuring that awareness efforts remain consistently grounded in rigorous, credible scholarship.
Audiences can follow new episodes of the KAFIH series on TRENDS’ official YouTube channel and social media platforms, helping build sustainable, resilient awareness against destructive ideologies.
