TRENDS, Abu Dhabi Customs Sign MoU to Enhance Research Cooperation

TRENDS Research & Advisory and the Abu Dhabi Customs General Administration have signed a strategic memorandum of understanding to promote research, expand areas of cooperation, and exchange knowledge and expertise. This initiative supports the objectives of the overall strategic plan and aligns with the United Arab Emirates government’s directions.

           

The memorandum was signed on behalf of TRENDS Research & Advisory by its CEO, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, and on behalf of Abu Dhabi Customs by H.E. Mubarak Matar Al Mansouri, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Customs Operations Sector.

The memorandum seeks to consolidate partnership relations in advanced research and align their shared strategic interests. It also aims to enhance institutional communication, facilitate the exchange of information and expertise, coordinate efforts, and support joint initiatives that achieve mutual benefit. Furthermore, the agreement promotes research whose outcomes serve society and support future objectives, thereby contributing to comprehensive development across relevant sectors.

           

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali emphasized the significance of this cooperation, noting that the partnership with Abu Dhabi Customs represents a qualitative step for TRENDS toward the application of scientific research in support of vital national sectors. He highlighted that cooperation in knowledge and expertise exchange will enable TRENDS to produce in-depth studies and analyses that support strategic decision-making in economics and international trade, thereby contributing to achieving shared goals.

           

H.E. Mubarak Matar Al Mansouri stated that the MoU represents an important step toward building sustainable strategic partnerships with leading research institutions. He explained that it supports cooperation in evidence-based research and the exchange of expertise, thereby enhancing decision-making and fostering innovative solutions that serve the customs system and facilitate the smooth flow of trade. He further noted that these efforts strengthen global leadership, consolidate Abu Dhabi’s position as a preferred destination for investment and business, and contribute to achieving the country’s ambitious economic objectives.
