Awadh Al Breiki is Senior Researcher and Head of the TRENDS Global Sector at TRENDS Research & Advisory.
He leads and directs the TRENDS Global Sector, which encompasses knowledge-sharing activities and collaborative engagements across the world. He oversees and manages a strategic research-based program of conferences and events held in the United Arab Emirates and worldwide, striving to foster impactful dialogue and contribute to generating knowledge on issues of global significance. He also facilitates and drives strategic cooperation and partnerships with a wide range of national, regional, and international actors.
Al Breiki has a distinguished service and leadership experience in managing public policy research organizations (“think tanks”); providing geopolitical analysis of global and regional trends with a special interest in U.S. government and politics; and building strategic partnerships with the world’s leading think tanks, academic institutions, and research institutes at the international level.
He served in multiple leadership roles at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, for over seven years, where he undertook responsibilities in strategic studies, scientific research, and media affairs.
Al Breiki holds a Master of Arts in International Security from Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics.
He regularly writes, publishes, and lectures on regional and global issues, with a particular interest and expertise in U.S. politics and policy-making.
