The dialogue aims to explore European positions toward the rapidly evolving developments in the Middle East and analyze their strategic dimensions.
In cooperation with its offices in Germany, Belgium, and Italy, TRENDS Research & Advisory will organize its third strategic dialogue, titled “The War in the Middle East: How Does Europe View the Crisis?”, on Thursday, March 26.
The event will bring together a distinguished group of international experts and researchers and will be held in a hybrid format, combining in-person attendance with virtual participation.
The dialogue aims to explore European perspectives on the rapidly evolving developments in the Middle East and analyze their strategic dimensions, particularly in light of current geopolitical challenges and their implications for regional and international security.
The event will open with a welcome speech, followed by two main sessions. The first — “Europe’s Strategic Boundaries: Political Cohesion and the Crisis of the International System” — will examine Europe’s ability to maintain political cohesion amid current global challenges, with the participation of experts from European research and security institutions.
The second session — “Energy, the Geopolitical Landscape, and Gulf Security: Europe’s Growing Commitments” — will focus on the interconnection between European energy security and Gulf regional stability, as well as the implications for Europe’s foreign policy.
The dialogue will conclude with an open discussion, allowing participants and attendees to exchange perspectives and develop more comprehensive insights into the future of European engagement with the region’s crises.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, said:
“Organizing this dialogue comes at a highly sensitive time, as the region is undergoing profound transformations that require a precise understanding of international—especially European—perspectives on the escalating crises in the Middle East.”
He added:
“Through such dialogues, TRENDS continues to provide a solid knowledge platform to enhance strategic discussions and build bridges of dialogue between decision-makers and researchers.”
He also noted that TRENDS’ offices in Germany, Belgium, and Italy are participating in this dialogue, reflecting the integration of their roles in monitoring developments and anticipating events in real time.
