The TRENDS pavilion witnessed strong engagement and high-level attendance throughout the event, culminating on the final day with a series of official visits and recognition.

TRENDS wrapped up its distinguished participation as a knowledge partner in the UAE Agricultural Conference and Exhibition 2026, hosted in Al Ain and organized by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, with broad participation from government and private entities, universities, and experts in sustainable agriculture and agricultural technology.

The TRENDS pavilion also welcomed Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation. During his visit, he was briefed on the pavilion’s exhibits, research publications, and knowledge-based initiatives, and was presented with a selection of the center’s latest releases.

Additionally, the pavilion received several ministers, officials, and experts, along with a large audience of visitors. They praised the center’s research vision and its contributions to supporting national plans related to sustainable development and food security.

On the publications front, TRENDS launched two new books in collaboration with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment as part of its participation in the event. The first publication focuses on date palm varieties in the United Arab Emirates, while the second addresses palm trees and the Emirati agricultural heritage, aiming to document agricultural legacy and enhance awareness of its importance in achieving sustainability and food security.

The TRENDS pavilion also stood out for presenting diverse knowledge content, including specialized scientific studies and research, alongside an innovative interactive platform that facilitated knowledge dissemination and enhanced public engagement.

Warda Al Menhali, Director of the TRENDS office in Al Ain, emphasized that participation in the UAE Agricultural Conference and Exhibition 2026 extends the center’s role in supporting sustainability initiatives. She noted that the strong turnout and engagement with the TRENDS pavilion reflect the importance of scientific research in developing the agricultural sector and advancing food security.

For her part, Rawdha Al Marzouqi, Director of Exhibitions and Distribution at TRENDS, explained that the new publications launched during the exhibition embody the center’s commitment to producing applied knowledge that serves society. She highlighted that the focus on palm trees and dates reflects their status as national symbols and strategic resources in the UAE.

She added that the TRENDS pavilion witnessed significant demand for its publications and interactive activities, further reinforcing the center’s role in knowledge dissemination and expanding its research impact locally and regionally.
