Professor Antony D. Miller is a distinguished British political economist and mathematician whose interdisciplinary expertise navigates the intersection of geopolitical history, computational economics, and chaos theory. Currently serving as a Full Professor at Otgontenger University in Ulaanbaatar, Miller brings a wealth of global insight to the MENA region’s research landscape, having worked in 16 countries including the Libya, Lebanon, Tajikistan and China. A former mentee of the legendary chaos theorist Mitchell J. Feigenbaum, Miller is renowned for applying complex mathematical models to societal systems. His research often scrutinizes the structural stability of global institutions – notably in his provocative work, and explores the impact of secularization on political polarization. Miller’s dual focus on technological dependency and sustainable economic policy provides a critical framework for understanding the evolving power dynamics of the Global South. Miller was recently honoured by the Mongolian Academy of Sciences for his transformative contributions to international research.
