In a step that reinforces its position as a global knowledge bridge, TRENDS Global, affiliated with TRENDS Group, signed a cooperation agreement with the Artigas Institute of Foreign Service, affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, to strengthen cooperation in scientific research, strategic studies, and academic exchange, in a way that supports knowledge pathways and opens new horizons for collaborative research.

The signing ceremony was attended by high-level diplomatic figures, led by H.E. Cesar Rodríguez Zavalla, Ambassador of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay to the United Arab Emirates, who signed the agreement on behalf of the institute responsible for training and preparing diplomats.

Discussion Session

On the sidelines of the signing ceremony, and as part of TRENDS’ forward-looking vision, a discussion session was held featuring the Ambassador of Uruguay, with several TRENDS researchers, particularly young researchers, in attendance, as well as the accompanying delegation.

The session focused on analyzing the current geopolitical landscape and exploring promising opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations, particularly in cultural and knowledge diplomacy. Participants also discussed the important role of think tanks and research centers in providing informed insights to address shared global challenges and build more resilient, sustainable economic and political ties.

H.E. Cesar Rodríguez Zavalla expressed his pride in visiting TRENDS for the first time as a representative of his country, describing the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Artigas Institute of Foreign Service and TRENDS as a strategic and pivotal step.

He affirmed his confidence that this partnership would make a tangible contribution to enhancing mutual understanding between the two countries and supporting the continuous development of bilateral relations, which are already witnessing remarkable momentum and distinction. He noted that this cooperation would further consolidate these ties and expand them toward broader horizons.

Ambassador Zavalla also expressed his pride and happiness in representing his country in the United Arab Emirates since his appointment a few months ago, praising the positive and distinguished environment that characterizes the UAE.
