Trends Research and Advisory stressed that the United Arab Emirates has become one of the main pillars of humanitarian and charity work at the global level, due to its various initiatives that address emerging humanitarian challenges in several parts of the world.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Trends Research and Advisory delivered a lecture in an event organized by the Abu Dhabi Forum for Peace, as part of the Forum’s Ramadan lecture series. The lecture was entitled “The UAE and the March of Sustainable Goodness.” The audience included a group of personalities and those interested in Charitable efforts and humanitarian work.

Dr. Al Ali pointed out that the approach of the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah rest his soul in peace, was the basis for the UAE’s adoption of that commitment, because he established the values of giving and extending a helping hand to everyone in need in any part of the world.

Dr. Al-Ali explained the most important features of the UAE’s charities and humanitarian work, chief amongst is the commitment to institutional, sustainable and a cooperative approach. He referred to the many institutions that have been established, the initiatives and humanitarian work that have positioned the UAE at the forefront of donor countries.

He pointed out that the value of development and humanitarian assistances sent by the UAE, during the period from 1971 to 2004, amounted to about 90.5 billion dirhams. They benefited 117 countries in all regions and continents of the world.

Dr. Al-Ali praised the role of the wise leadership in continuing the march of goodness and supporting charitable endeavours and humanitarian work.  He stressed the importance of research centers in keeping abreast with this work and directing it to the best scenarios for good purposes.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Ali stressed the role of TRENDS in the march of sustainable goodness, through its contributions in the fields of research, studies that promote charitable and humanitarian work. Trends center focuses on keeping pace with the transformations in charitable and humanitarian work, and delivering innovative solutions to meet new challenges, through research, activities, consultations and partnerships with various institutions and bodies concerned with charitable and humanitarian work. The aim is to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences, to achieve a positive impact on human life.

Dr. Al-Ali stressed the need to expand the scope of charitable work to include addressing environmental challenges and accelerating climate action at the global and local levels.
