Trends Research and Advisory continues its third participation in the 55th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair. The Fair kicked off on January 24 and will continue until February 6, 2024, at Egypt Exhibition and Convention Center in Cairo.
Trends pavilion has seen many visits by a large number of academics, thinkers, researchers, writers and intellectuals who are interested in scientific, research and knowledge content. The pavilion also attracted official and public figures, as well as academic delegations and university students. The visitors appreciated Trends books, research and studies, and praised the mission and vision of the center in supporting the global scientific research movement.
The 55th edition of Cairo Book Fair is held under the slogan “We create knowledge … We Preserve the Word.” It is organized by the Egyptian General Book Authority. Trends publications received great interest from various segments of visitors, especially the “Trends Encyclopaedia on the Muslim Brotherhood”, as well as books that analyze Middle East issues and foresee the future of crises and conflicts around the world.
Constructive research efforts
The Trends pavilion was visited by Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. He was briefed on Trends’ main publications. He praised the Center’s constructive scientific and research efforts at the regional and international levels, its forward-looking vision and keenness to participate in major regional and international book fairs. Dr. Ahmed expressed his appreciation for Trends’ publications, especially its unique scientific series and research covering various fields of knowledge.
Major General Amr Mohamed El-Taher, from the Military Museums Department of the Egyptian Ministry of Defense, visited Trends’ pavilion and was briefed on the scientific, research and knowledge publications displayed in the pavilion. His Excellency Abdullah Majed Al Ali, Director General of the National Archives and Library, praised the center’s third participation in the Cairo International Book Fair.
Scientific and intellectual advance
A delegation from Abu Dhabi Media Network, which included Rashid Al Qubaisi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Media Network, Essa Al Mazrouei, CEO of the Content Centre, Abdul Rahim Al Nuaimi, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, and Dr. Hamad Al Kaabi, CEO of the Etihad News Centre, visited the Trends’ pavilion. They were briefed on its content and praised the scientific and intellectual advancement of the Center, which spreads knowledge and culture.
Trends pavilion attracted academic delegations from Arab and Egyptian universities. It received a great turnout from various segments of visitors to the exhibition, who learned about the valuable and diverse books, research output. The visitors attended constructive scientific discussions and meaningful dialogues on the contents of the various publications that attracted their attention.
Trends team at the 55th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair visited Al-Azhar pavilion and were briefed on valuable content. They listened to briefings on Al-Azhar’s global message to combat extremist ideas. The team visited the Russian pavilion, and were briefed on the historical books that reflect Russian culture. Trends team discussed aspects of joint cooperation with the Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, and a number of research institutions and think tanks participating in the Book Fair.
Knowledge Industry
Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of Trends Research and Advisory, said that the Cairo International Book Fair has become an international platform for publishers and those interested in the knowledge industry. He said the reputable regional Book Fair has become a global forum for writers, thinkers and intellectuals, due to the qualitative intellectual content it presents every year that consolidate the Book Fair position in the Arab world and beyond.
Dr. Al-Ali stressed that Trends is keen to participate in various regional and international book fairs with the aim of spreading research and sustainable knowledge. Trends provides the readers with accurate and meaningful research content. He said the Center attaches special importance to Cairo Book Fair because it is one of the largest book fairs in the Middle East and North Africa. This year, more than 1,500 publishing houses from 50 countries participated in the iconic Book Fair.
