Trends Research and Advisory shall embark on a research tour to Canada starting May 11 to 19, 2024. The tour is intended to enhance the Trends global outreach. on May 12, the Center shall inaugurate its new virtual office in Montreal, the fifth globally. Trends shall also engage in a busy itinerary of conferences and panel discussions in Montreal and Ottawa.
Trends’ virtual office in Montreal shall promote collaborative relationships with research and academic institutions in Canada and North America, and supports research exchange and knowledge transfer.
Trends shall hold its first discussion panel entitled “Think Tanks and Research Centers: Prospective Role in a Turbulent World.” The discussion shall address the role of think tanks and research centers in understanding contemporary global challenges and enhancing cooperation between Arab and international think tanks.
The research tour includes field visits to universities and research institutions in Montreal and Ottawa to establish effective partnerships. The visits shall facilitate acquaintance with the latest developments in the field of scientific research, and explore opportunities for cooperation with the relevant institutions.
Participation in the Congress of the French-Canadian Association for the Advancement of Science (ACFAS)
Trends shall attend the ACFAS Congress, the largest multidisciplinary gathering in the French-speaking world. The Congress shall be held in Ottawa from May 13-17, 2024. It features a number of events, conferences, and discussion panels on research and science.
Trends shall organize a conference entitled “The Arab World: Current Dynamics, Actors and Geopolitical Issues.” The conference shall be held on May 17, 2024 in collaboration with the two universities of Montreal and Ottawa. The conference shall analyze the current developments in the Arab world and discuss the regional challenges with a future outlook.
Trends shall release the international version of its “Muslim Brotherhood Influence Index” in English, after launching the previous one in French at the Paris Book Fair last month. The index is first of its kind in the world that uses quantitative and qualitative indicators to measure the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood at the international level.
In Montreal, Trends shall record 3 podcast episodes with Canadian experts, to discuss some of the main current issues.
