Trends Research and Advisory held a roundtable discussion in cooperation with the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance for Global Ethics, on the sidelines of the Davos Economic Forum 2024. The discussion called for enhancing the role of think tanks in spreading the values of tolerance and peace around the world.
The roundtable was held in Davos, Switzerland. It focused on the theme of “For Establishing tolerance and Global peace: Intellectual Visions”. A group of leaders of international research centers and intellectuals contributed their valuable insights on the subject. The roundtable discussed the role of tolerance and peace in achieving sustainable development and promote them at the global level. The discussion explored the pivotal role of education in consolidating the values of tolerance and coexistence as a basis for building societies of peace and understanding, especially in light of the growing sentiments of hatred and intolerance in some parts of the world.
The participants referred to the importance of adopting school curricula that are inspired by the values of tolerance and understanding from human history, international agreements, and global ethics.
The experts called for emulating the Emirati approach in spreading the values of tolerance and peace at the global level, as a step towards a brighter future and promoting understanding among the peoples.
