The pavilion of TRENDS Research and Advisory at the Beijing International Book Fair 2024 received remarkable interest from visitors of the Book Fair, particularly a visit by His Excellency Hussein Ibrahim Al-Hammadi, Ambassador of the UAE to the People’s Republic of China.
During his visit, the second in two days, His Excellency Ambassador Al-Hammadi praised TRENDS’ high-standard Chinese publications and underlined their importance in promoting cultural dialogue and exchanging knowledge.
He also appreciated TRENDS’ active presence at the Book Fair and its Trending Echoes podcast series, underlining its importance in disseminating knowledge and pointing to the great response shown to the pavilion by the Chinese public.
During the visit, His Excellency the Ambassador witnessed the inauguration of TRENDS’ sixth office globally in Beijing, which aims to support knowledge communication between think tanks and reflects TRENDS’ global research strategy.
He also witnessed the launch by TRENDS of the Chinese version of the Muslim Brotherhood International Influence Index, which is the first of its kind in the world and constitutes a reliable scientific reference for correcting misconceptions and confronting extremist ideas.
His Excellency Ambassador Hussein Al-Hammadi was keen to attend the panel discussion organized by TRENDS in collaboration with the China International Communications Group (CICG), entitled “China and the GCC States: Strengthening Cooperation and Partnership”. He praised the panel’s valuable and informative content and its role in enriching discussions on various aspects of cooperation between the GCC countries and China.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, expressed his pleasure at the visit of His Excellency Ambassador Al-Hammadi to TRENDS’ pavilion at the Beijing International Book Fair. He said that the visit underlines TRENDS’ leading research role. He reiterated TRENDS’ commitment to continuing efforts to provide high-standard cultural and intellectual content that contributes to foreseeing events, providing effective research content, and opening new horizons for cooperation in various fields.
