A memorandum of cooperation was signed between TRENDS Research and Advisory and the Economic Council of India to establish collaborative work in the areas of economic and technological research, data analysis and joint scientific publication.

The memorandum aims to facilitate the exchange of scientific and professional expertise, publications, and database resources available to both sides, as well as launching joint research projects. The agreement was signed on behalf of TRENDS Research and Advisory by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, and on behalf of the Economic Council of India by Alok Kumar, President of the Council, as part of the efforts made by TRENDS’ office which was recently launched in Moscow.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali emphasized TRENDS’ strong focus on economic studies and research, especially in emerging fields such as the digital economy and artificial intelligence. He noted that the memorandum with the Economic Council of India is a valuable addition to the field of economic research and strategic analysis of economic indicators and data.

Al-Ali highlighted the importance of economic research in shaping policies, forecasting the future, and enhancing economic knowledge within societies. He also mentioned that TRENDS, in collaboration with the Economic Council of India, will undertake a series of future research projects focused on economic studies with the aim of anticipating global economic crises, addressing finance and monetary policy issues, and providing scientifically grounded frameworks and recommendations to tackle these crises, ultimately transforming challenges into opportunities.

Alok Kumar, President of the Economic Council of India, stated that economic research offers practical and insightful solutions to overcome complex economic challenges, contributing to sustainable development efforts and improving quality of life. He emphasized that such research is a crucial tool for building strong economies and prosperous societies. Kumar further added that both sides agreed to organize a series of symposiums, conferences and lectures to discuss how to address challenges and leverage economic opportunities using well-considered scientific methods.

In a related context, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, awarded Alok Kumar, President of the Economic Council of India, the TRENDS Research Medal in recognition of his valuable scientific contributions and his efforts in supporting scientific research and knowledge.
