TRENDS Research and Advisory held a research-focused panel discussion with the Arab World Institute, Paris, to explore avenues for collaboration and opportunities for launching future projects, initiatives and modern studies. The panel also emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and dissemination across the Arab world, France and Europe at large.
Representing TRENDS, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of the Center, led a research delegation. From the Arab World Institute, participants included Dr. Jack Lang, President of the Arab World Institute, Chawqi Abdelamir, Director General of the Institute; Claude Mollard, plastic artist, photographer and Cultural Advisor to the President of the Arab World Institute; and Ines Ben Kariem, Diplomatic Advisor to the Presidency of the Arab World Institute.
At the beginning of the meeting, both sides exchanged insights about their respective activities. TRENDS presented its research projects and initiatives aimed at fostering dialogue and promoting values of peaceful coexistence, while the Arab World Institute provided a detailed overview of its cultural and educational programs. Both parties expressed appreciation for each other’s efforts and emphasized the importance of joint work to achieve shared objectives.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, highlighted the importance of this dialogue session, noting that it aligns with TRENDS’ efforts to strengthen cultural dialogue between the Arab world and the West. He expressed enthusiasm for implementing innovative projects that serve mutual goals and contribute to developing the capabilities of young researchers, thereby advancing cultural understanding and intellectual diplomacy.
Dr. Jack Lang, President of the Arab World Institute, and Chawqi Abdelamir, Director General of the Institute, commended TRENDS for its efforts in promoting cultural understanding and coexistence. They said that they were pleased with this meeting, which reflects the shared commitment to enhancing cultural and scientific relations between societies, adding that collaboration with TRENDS opens new horizons for intellectual exchange and joint projects that benefit future generations.
This research visit is part of a series of global tours undertaken by TRENDS to enhance cooperation with international institutions and solidify its role as a research center that contributes to the development of perspectives that address global issues and challenges.
At the conclusion of the panel, TRENDS honored Dr. Jack Lang, President of the Arab World Institute, Mr. Chawqi Abdelamir, Director General of the Arab World Institute; Claude Mollard, plastic artist, photographer and Advisor to the President of the Arab World Institute; and Ines Ben Kariem, Diplomatic Advisor to the Presidency of the Arab World Institute, with the TRENDS Research Medal. This recognition was in appreciation of their contributions to supporting TRENDS’ research efforts and promoting cultural diplomacy.
