TRENDS Research & Advisory has achieved a new milestone in its journey of success by joining the Arab Publishers Association. This membership further enhances the Center’s leading role in advancing the publishing industry regionally and globally. It reflects the Center’s dedication to disseminating culture and knowledge and expanding its engagement in global cultural events and exhibitions.
The Center is finalizing its membership in the International Publishers Association (IPA) to strengthen its global presence and actively participate in major cultural forums. This step aligns with its mission to spread knowledge and support decision-makers worldwide.
TRENDS previously earned membership in the Emirates Publishers Association, making it the first independent research center in the UAE to join the Association. This reflects the high quality of its diverse research publications, which serve academics, researchers, and decision-makers and support global efforts to counter extremist thought.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, emphasized that this membership reflects trust in the Center’s research output and its regional and global role in the publishing industry. He added that TRENDS has been committed to applying the highest standards of rigorous scholarly research and utilizing technological advancements, such as AI, to elevate the quality of its knowledge production since its establishment.
Dr. Al-Ali further stressed that the Center remains committed to providing diverse and comprehensive research content that contributes to future foresight and innovative solutions to current challenges. He stated that TRENDS aspires to establish itself as a global research platform that helps shape the future through transparent and objective insights and scientific research.
He explained that TRENDS’ current membership in the Arab Publishers Association and its forthcoming membership in the International Publishers Association will allow it to participate in international book fairs, providing more significant opportunities to promote cultural dialogue and present its research publications at prestigious global forums.
The membership also represents a new chapter in TRENDS’ journey to enhance its worldwide presence and support the publishing industry by contributing valuable knowledge and enriching global libraries with scientific works that serve various sectors.
Rawda Al-Marzouqi, Director of TRENDS Research & Advisory’s Distribution and Exhibitions Department, said that TRENDS’ membership in the Arab Publishers Association is pivotal in strengthening its presence at regional and global cultural events. She noted that TRENDS is keen on actively participating in major book fairs to promote cultural dialogue and exchange ideas. The Center also aims to forge new partnerships with regional and international publishing houses, contributing to disseminating its research output and forward-looking knowledge mission while reinforcing its status as a leading global knowledge platform that contributes to making the future.
The Arab Publishers Association is a regional independent organization established to develop the Arab publishing industry, protect intellectual property rights, and defend Arab culture. The Association works to ensure an Arab presence at international book fairs, represent publishers in global forums, combat intellectual property violations, and maintain a database of publications and distributors. It also promotes Arab culture through media and supports reading and publishing. It has two permanent offices in Cairo and Beirut.
