His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, stressed the vital importance of research as the primary foundation for anticipating the future and affecting positive change.

During his visit to the TRENDS Research & Advisory pavilion at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2025, His Highness praised the Center’s global research vision, which focuses on promoting meaningful knowledge and preparing national cadres for the labor market.

“Those who possess knowledge and advanced research centers hold the reins of initiative and the ability to drive change for the better,” His Highness said. He added that countries that invest in research are best positioned to achieve progress and sustainable development.

Dr Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, the CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, welcomed His Highness to the TRENDS pavilion. His Highness toured the pavilion and browsed its diverse collection of research publications.

His Highness also launched TRENDS’ latest release, The Era of Pearls: From Poverty to Prosperity. Dr Al-Ali gave His Highness an in-depth briefing on the Center’s work, its most prominent research projects, and its role in supporting researchers and advancing research through rigorous scientific studies.

Dr Al-Ali expressed profound gratitude and appreciation for His Highness’ visit, affirming that it strongly encouraged and inspired the TRENDS team to continue their research efforts in service of society and the future.
