Ms. Mallie Prytherch

Researcher at the Centre on Contemporary China and the World at the University of Hong Kong

Mallie Prytherch serves as the Assistant to the Director at the Centre for Contemporary China and the World (CCCW) at The University of Hong Kong. She formerly worked for the John L. Thornton China Center at the Brookings Institution, where her research focused on Chinese domestic politics and U.S.-China relations. Her publications include commentaries on China’s climate priorities, Chinese political leaders, and Chinese strategic narratives. Prior to her work on China, she was an electoral campaign staffer in the United States.She is a recipient of the highly competitive Schwarzman Scholarship, with which she completed a Master of Management Science in Global Affairs at Tsinghua University. She holds a Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University and a B.A. in mathematics from Bard College.
