Trends Research and Advisory received a delegation from the Economic Intelligence Team at the Department of Economic Development (DED) in Abu Dhabi to discuss research cooperation between the two sides.
The meeting was held at Trends headquarters. The two sides exchanged information on the nature of their work, where Trends’ researchers gave a detailed explanation of the Center’s objectives, mission, research programs, in addition to consultations and projects. The Economic Intelligence Team briefed the audience on its plans and strategies to promote economic development in Abu Dhabi.
The two sides reviewed areas of cooperation in the field of economic intelligence, including scientific research, and conducting joint studies on topics of common interest. Moreover, they discussed ways to exchange information, data and experiences, organizing joint training programs and conducting opinion polls.
The TRENDS team of researchers and the economic intelligence team at the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi also discussed the need to benefit from artificial intelligence technologies in the field of economic research, by developing new tools and means to analyze economic data and provide accurate forecasts about the future of the economy. This would enhance development and achieve sustainability.
The two sides expressed their happiness with this cooperation, and stressed the role of scientific research in developing visions, facing challenges and exploring opportunities. They expressed their keenness to develop mutual cooperation in the future. They discussed their intention to sign a cooperation agreement that defines ways and areas to enhance their capabilities and help achieve their strategic goals.
