The Global Imams Council (GIC) has honored TRENDS Research and Advisory and its CEO with the Peace Award during a ceremony held in Abu Dhabi yesterday. The event was attended by Imam Mohammad Tawhidi, Vice President of the GIC, Sheikh Ali Al-Kaabi, Director of GIC Najaf and Senior Research Fellow, Imam Tamaz Mgeladze, Director of GIC Georgia and Chair of the Georgian Muslim Union, and several officials and researchers from both sides.
This award recognizes TRENDS’ outstanding research efforts in combating extremist ideologies and promoting a culture of peace and tolerance.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, received the award and expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the GIC for this honor. He affirmed the center’s commitment to continuing its efforts in promoting peace and countering extremist ideologies.
In his speech at the event, Imam Mohammad Tawhidi, along with several GIC members, congratulated TRENDS on receiving this well-deserved award.
Tawhidi stated that the award serves as a testament to TRENDS’ outstanding efforts in spreading peace and tolerance and combating extremist ideologies. He expressed the GIC’s confidence in TRENDS’ ability to continue its noble mission of promoting shared human values and contributing to a tolerant and harmonious world.
Noting that TRENDS’ work serves as a model in the field of combating extremism, Tawhidi extended his thanks to Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali and the TRENDS team for their tireless efforts in this field.
He emphasized that the challenges facing humanity today require collective cooperation and solidarity, expressing the GIC’s strong belief that TRENDS is a key partner in this global effort to promote peace and harmony worldwide.
