TRENDS and Korea Consul-General Review Research Cooperation

During a dialogue session, TRENDS Research & Advisory and Mr. Choi Young Joon, Consul-General of the Republic of Korea, examined the role of research in fostering dialogue and explored opportunities for collaborative research between TRENDS and Korean institutions. At the beginning of the session, Dr. Sung Il Kwang, Research Professor at the Sogang Euro-MENA Institute, participated in the discussions.

Fahad Essa Al-Mahri, Senior Researcher and Head of TRENDS Dubai Sector, briefed His Excellency the Korean Consul-General on the Center’s activities, events, departments, and divisions, as well as the services it provides in the field of global research in support of researchers, academics, and interested parties.

       

The Consul-General commended TRENDS’s valuable insights, research, and studies, noting that they have elevated the organization to the ranks of the world’s leading research institutions and established it as a key reference in addressing global issues.

He acknowledged the contributions of the TRENDS office in Korea. Through joint events and co-authored research publications, he underscored the importance of fostering collaborative ties between TRENDS and Korean academic and research institutions.

       

The dialogue emphasized the importance of fostering research cooperation and establishing strategic partnerships. It also addressed plans to hold joint workshops and knowledge-sharing programs that advance the values of tolerance and compassion, and contribute to a culture of peace that underpins global stability and well-being.
