«Trends» Celebrates Its Female Researchers and Employees on International Women’s Day, Affirming Their Leadership in Knowledge Building

08 Mar 2025

In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Trends Research and Advisory honored its female researchers and employees, emphasizing their pivotal role in knowledge building and their active contribution to societal progress.

This celebration aligns with this year’s theme, which highlights equality and empowerment—values deeply embedded in the UAE’s vision and strongly supported by Trends through its continuous efforts to support and empower female researchers across various fields.

A Firm Approach

On this occasion, Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Trends Research and Advisory, lauded the outstanding efforts of Trends’ female researchers and employees in advancing scientific research and enhancing knowledge awareness. He affirmed that the center takes pride in the fact that nearly half of its workforce consists of female researchers, many of whom hold leadership positions. This reflects Trends’ commitment to provide a supportive work environment that rewards women and offers them opportunities for growth and innovation.

Dr. Al Ali added that Trends’ female researchers and employees have demonstrated excellence in their respective fields, just like all Emirati women who have benefited from the support of the wise leadership. The UAE has created an enabling environment that has removed barriers for women, allowing them to contribute effectively to the nation’s development alongside men.

Pioneering Studies

As part of its deep commitment to highlighting the role of women in society, Trends has published numerous studies that shed light on women’s contributions across various domains. Among these is a study titled “Women and Peacebuilding in the World,” authored by researcher Noura Al-Habsi, Director of Scientific Publication Department at the center. The study addresses four key themes: the historical evolution of women’s role in peacekeeping and security, the impact of conflicts and wars on women’s position globally, the major challenges that may hinder women from playing their role in achieving comprehensive peace, and a forward-looking perspective on the future role of women in enhancing global security and peace.

The study emphasized that countries with high levels of gender equality are less likely to resort to force in international relations, underscoring the importance of women’s empowerment in building more peaceful and stable societies.
