TRENDS Research and Advisory inaugurated its sixth physical office internationally in Moscow to build a network of strategic partnerships with academic institutions and think tanks in Russia and strengthen scientific exchange and knowledge collaboration with academics, researchers, experts and specialists across various scientific fields.
The TRENDS – Russia office is not just an administrative move but is also part of a clear strategic plan to create robust bridges of cooperation and partnership with Russian think tanks. TRENDS aspires to become a trusted research authority regionally and internationally, offering in-depth, rigorous research outputs that contribute to understanding the complex issues facing the world today.
Building Strategic Partnerships
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, said that TRENDS – Russia Office will focus on studying geopolitical and economic links between Russia, Eurasia and the Middle East. This effort will enable TRENDS to provide comprehensive analyses of the changing dynamics in these regions. The physical office will also build a network of strategic partnerships with universities, think tanks and leading research organizations in Russia, foster scientific exchange, and launch joint research and knowledge initiatives.
Al-Ali explained that opening a physical TRENDS office in Moscow aligns with TRENDS’ research vision and global expansion plan that aims to establish 17 offices worldwide—six physical offices and eleven virtual offices in major global capitals. He emphasized that the network of TRENDS’ international offices plays a pivotal role in enhancing scientific and knowledge exchange among experts, academics and researchers across continents, elevating the quality of scientific research both regionally and internationally.

The CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory highlighted that the TRENDS – Russia Office will play a crucial role in promoting scientific and knowledge exchange between experts, academics and researchers in the Middle East and Russia through joint international conferences that will provide ample opportunities for researchers to discuss and share their ideas with a broad audience of specialists.

Fahad Al-Mahri, Head of TRENDS Dubai Sector, explained that the office will act as a link between researchers and experts at the TRENDS head office in Abu Dhabi and the scientific research community in Russia. This connection will strengthen academic and research collaboration, paving the way for robust partnerships with Russian universities and think tanks with a rich history of scientific achievements. The office will also initiate joint research projects on strategic issues and publish regular reports and research papers analyzing global developments.
Al-Mehri added that opening a physical office in Moscow marks the beginning of a promising new phase of scientific and constructive research collaboration with Russian institutions, as the office aims to provide intellectual and scientific contributions that support positive developments in both the Middle East and Russia.
