TRENDS Research & Advisory is participating in the 15th edition of the Al Ain Book Festival 2024 with a pavilion combining traditional knowledge and modern technology. In addition to a wide range of research and academic publications covering various fields, TRENDS offers visitors unique experience through different activities and advanced AI-powered technologies.

During the festival’s first two days, the pavilion attracted a diverse audience, including officials, students, and families, who explored TRENDS’ extensive collection of research output. These publications cover thought and academic research, AI, sustainability, space exploration, youth empowerment, economics, and futuristic studies. The pavilion also showcases books on political Islam and from TRENDS’ encyclopedia on the Muslim Brotherhood, which refutes the group’s ideology in multiple languages.

Visitors to the TRENDS pavilion have had the opportunity to engage with smart technologies, such as the Echo research robot, and the experience of the virtual reality glasses, which immerses them in scientific research worlds. School students enjoyed interacting with the Moxie robot, designed to inspire a love of reading and knowledge.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, emphasized the critical role of culture and knowledge in empowering youth and enhancing their skills. He pointed out that the Al Ain Book Festival is ideal for exchanging ideas and expertise and celebrating creativity across various areas.

Dr. Al-Ali said that TRENDS’ participation in the Al Ain Book Festival for the third consecutive year stems from its keenness to participate actively in knowledge events. He described the festival as a knowledge bridge for empowering youth, celebrating knowledge leaders, and promoting the Arabic language and authentic values. Dr. Al-Ali praised the efforts of the festival organizer, the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, adding that the festival continues to grow each year and includes various events that enrich all fields and forms of knowledge.

Rawda Al-Marzouqi, Director of the Distribution and Exhibitions Department at TRENDS, said participation is a significant opportunity to connect with readers and the public and acquaint them with TRENDS’ research outputs and academic contributions. She explained that incorporating AI technologies in the TRENDS’s pavilion is part of the Center’s commitment to innovation and using the latest tools in research.
