TRENDS Research & Advisory is participating in GITEX 2025, to be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 13 to 17, with a range of activities that keep pace with rapid technological transformations and explore the future of artificial intelligence and scientific research, in collaboration with the Public Prosecution. TRENDS is also taking part in the accompanying exhibition with an AI-enhanced knowledge pavilion within the Cybersecurity Council’s pavilion.
As part of its participation, TRENDS will launch a white paper in collaboration with the UAE Federal Public Prosecution, summarizing the key outcomes of the Governance of Emerging Technologies Summit (GETS 2025). The summit was organized by the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC) in strategic partnership with the UAE Public Prosecution and in knowledge partnership with TRENDS.
 
 
 
During the exhibition, TRENDS will also organize a dialogue session featuring leading experts and specialists, The Ethical Governance Framework for AI in Criminal Justice, in addition to a student debate on AI, scientific research, and the future, as part of its commitment to engaging young people in intellectual dialogue and promoting a culture of research and innovation.
The TRENDS pavilion, organized in collaboration with the Cybersecurity Council, features a selection of TRENDS’ latest publications, particularly those related to artificial intelligence and advanced technology. It also includes “ECHO,” TRENDS’ smart robot, which provides explanations and answers to visitors’ inquiries about the center and its research outputs.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, emphasized that TRENDS’ participation in GITEX reflects its commitment to serving as an intellectual hub that keeps pace with global technological transformations. He noted that the exhibition provides an ideal platform for knowledge exchange and for exploring prospects for collaboration in AI, digital governance, and applied scientific research.
Dr. Al-Ali affirmed that TRENDS is keen to make its participation in GITEX a meaningful contribution to global dialogues on emerging technologies. He emphasized that TRENDS seeks to showcase the vital role of research in steering innovation toward sustainable development, while highlighting the UAE’s pioneering efforts in building an advanced knowledge ecosystem that supports the knowledge-based economy.
 
 
 
Abdullah Al-Hammadi, Senior Researcher and Head of the Advisory Sector at TRENDS, stated that participation in GITEX 2025 offers an opportunity to showcase its research insights on AI governance and its applications in institutional work. He noted that through this participation, TRENDS aims to strengthen the integration between scientific research and modern technological practices, thereby supporting decision-makers and the development of future-oriented solutions.
Al-Hammadi added that TRENDS’ activities at this year’s GITEX embody its vision of harnessing knowledge to serve society and underscore the importance of applied research in advancing digital transformation.
GITEX 2025 is the largest technology event in the region and the world, bringing together over 200,000 technology professionals, more than 6,500 exhibitors, and over 1,800 startups from more than 180 countries.
