The TRENDS International Training Institute organized a specialized research training workshop on modern research techniques, with the participation of students and researchers from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy. The initiative is part of TRENDS Research & Advisory’s efforts to enhance international academic cooperation and exchange research expertise.

The workshop aimed to introduce participants to contemporary academic research tools and highlight the latest methodologies in data analysis and future foresight, contributing to the development of their academic skills and expanding avenues for knowledge collaboration between research institutions in the Arab and European worlds. It covered several areas, including qualitative and quantitative research methods and their application in studying current international issues. It also addressed digital transformation in research, the role of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in data collection and analysis, the fundamentals of public policy formulation, and ways to translate research outputs into practical recommendations to support decision-making.

Dr. Gianluca Mattarocci, Professor of Banking at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, explained that the workshop provided students with a valuable opportunity to engage with one of the region’s leading think tanks and gain insights into the key trends shaping the future.

He further stated that this training workshop marks the beginning of a series of collaborative activities between the University of Rome Tor Vergata and Trends Research & Advisory, established within a framework of strong and sustained cooperation.
