His Excellency Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba has served as the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to the United States (US) since July 2008 and has served as Minister of State since 2017. Before his appointment, he served as a senior advisor to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Leading up to his senior advisor role, he studied at Cairo American College, Georgetown University, and the National Defense University in Washington, DC. Through his time as Ambassador, he has led efforts to build and strengthen ties between the two nations in areas ranging from diplomacy and regional stability to artificial intelligence (AI) and economic partnerships.

During his diplomatic career and as a speaker for TRENDS Research & Advisory, Ambassador Al Otaiba has participated in high-level events, including policy symposia, technology and innovation forums, and regional security conferences.
