  • Submission Guidelines

    Focus:

    This journal welcomes interdisciplinary contributions at the intersection of political science, strategic studies, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital public policy. Submissions should offer both theoretical insights and practical implications for decision-makers, governments, and international organizations.

    1. Originality and Contribution:

    • Submitted manuscripts must present original research questions, theoretical developments, or novel data-driven insights.
    • Submissions that are purely descriptive or derivative of prior work without added analytical depth will not be considered.
    • All work must be free from plagiarism and not under review elsewhere.

    2. Methodological Rigor:

    • Manuscripts must clearly explain their research design and methodology, whether qualitative, quantitative, comparative, or mixed methods.
    • The use of AI models, simulations, or computational tools must be explicitly described and justified.
    • Data sources and tools (including AI-generated content) must be transparently disclosed.

    3. Literature Review:

    • Summarize existing research - Highlight key studies, theories, and debates relevant to your topic.
    • Analyse critically - Compare, contrast, and evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, and gaps in the literature.
    • Synthesize and connect - Show how the works relate to each other and to your research question, leading to your contribution.

    4. Results and Policy Relevance:

    • Findings should be clear, evidence-based, and linked to the stated research problem.
    • Manuscripts must include practical recommendations relevant to stakeholders such as policymakers, international bodies, or industry leaders.
    • Recommendations should be specific, actionable, and grounded in the study's findings.

    5. Practical and Strategic Significance:

    • Submissions should demonstrate real-world relevance, with implications for strategic planning, governance, or digital transformation.
    • Case studies or empirical analyses that highlight regional, national, or sectoral policy dimensions are encouraged.

    6. Quality of Writing and Structure:

    • Manuscripts must be written in clear, formal academic English.
    • Recommended length: 6,000-12,000 words including footnotes, excluding references and appendices.
    • Structure should follow the format: Abstract - Introduction - Literature Review - Methodology - Results - Discussion - Policy Recommendations - Conclusion.

    7. Referencing Style:

    • The journal uses APA Style (7th Edition), In-Text Citations
    • Authors are responsible for the accurate and complete citation of all sources.

    • he journal uses "The American Library Association - Library of Congress (ALA-LC), Arabic Romanization Standard Table" for the transliteration of the Arabic language into Latin script.
    • The Arabic sources must be distinguished in the reference list from English sources as the following:
      • ⁠Titles and names written in Arabic scripts must be transliterated before translating and citing.
      • ⁠Titles should be transliterated and translated into English.
      • ⁠Names should be transliterated (not translated) and arranged in "Western" order, e.g., ordered by surname in reference list.
      • ⁠E.g. Najm, Y. (1966). Al-qissah fi al-adab Al-Arabi al-hadith [The novel in modern Arabic literature]. Beirut: Dar Al-Thaqafah.

    8. Peer Review Policy:

    • All submissions are subject to double-blind peer review by at least two external experts.
    • Authors must submit a separate response letter addressing reviewers' comments for revised manuscripts.
    • Manuscripts may undergo multiple rounds of revision.

    9. Ethical Standards:

    • Authors must disclose any use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, LLMs) in the production of the manuscript.
    • Studies involving data collection with human subjects must comply with institutional and international ethical standards.
    • Plagiarism and data fabrication will result in immediate rejection.

    10. Open Access and Archiving:

    • The journal is open access. Authors may deposit the accepted version in institutional repositories.
    • Supporting data and code (if applicable) should be shared on publicly accessible platforms whenever possible.

    11. Submission Process and Timeline:

    • Manuscripts must be submitted in Word or LaTeX format via the journal's online submission portal.
    • An acknowledgment of receipt will be sent within 48 hours of submission.
    • A decision on whether the manuscript will be sent for peer review will be communicated within 2 weeks.
    • Reviewers' decisions will be communicated within 4 weeks from the date of referral to peer review.
    • Authors may be asked to revise and resubmit their manuscripts based on reviewers' feedback.
