TRENDS Research & Advisory is participating as a knowledge partner in the 2nd International Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance Conference, organized by the Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies (ESCRS) in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence. The conference will take place at Abu Dhabi Energy Center from February 19–21, 2025, bringing together experts, academics, religious scholars, and politicians to promote constructive dialogue, cultural understanding, and global coexistence.
As part of the opening session on Wednesday, February 19, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, will deliver a keynote speech highlighting the role of scientific research in fostering dialogue among civilizations and tolerance as a foundation for a more stable and balanced future.
TRENDS researchers will also contribute to panel discussions at the conference. Researcher Shamma Al-Qutbah will moderate the first panel discussion titled “Creating Inclusive Communities: Youth Leadership and Social Responsibility,” while researcher Rashed Al-Hosani will moderate the fourth Arabic-language panel discussion on “Empowering Communities Through Inclusivity, Heritage, and Interfaith Understanding” on Thursday, February 20.
On the sidelines of the conference, TRENDS and ESCRS will sign a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen research collaboration, knowledge exchange, and joint initiatives in dialogue and tolerance studies.
Additionally, TRENDS will participate in the conference’s side exhibition from February 19–21, showcasing its latest publications and specialized studies focused on the significance of intercultural dialogue. The exhibition will also feature intellectual initiatives promoting mutual understanding between cultures and societies.

Commenting on the event, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali emphasized that hosting the 2nd International Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance Conference underscores the fundamental role of dialogue and tolerance in today’s rapidly evolving world.

Concluding his remarks, Dr. Al-Ali reaffirmed TRENDS’ commitment to highlighting the vital role of dialogue, tolerance, and human fraternity in building more prosperous and peaceful societies. He emphasized that peace begins with dialogue, and sustainable development flourishes in an environment of tolerance and coexistence.
