TRENDS Research and Advisory Center has announced the reshaping of its Advisory Council for the 2024-2025. This move is part of the Center’s efforts to enhance performance and excellence, maximize the benefits of its research outputs, and align with the Bronze Jubilee. It also aims to fulfill the objectives of the Center’s global strategic plan, which seeks to strengthen its presence and active participation in various regional and international forums, while supporting the global journey of scientific research. The reshaping of the Advisory Council, which will hold its first meeting on September 2nd to discuss the Council’s work plan under the chairmanship of Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, reflects the Center’s commitment to benefiting from scientific, academic, research, and professional expertise in various fields.   Fostering a Culture of Innovation Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS and Chairman of the Advisory Council, stated that reshaping the Council reflects the Center’s approach to continuous development and modernization, in line with its aspirations and the Bronze Jubilee. It also aims to foster a culture of innovation and creativity, empower young researchers, and elevate the research and advisory services offered by the Center according to the highest international standards. Al-Ali noted that the Advisory Council, comprising 14 members and a rapporteur, aims to support purposeful scientific research, encourage leadership and excellence, and advance the knowledge journey of TRENDS through well-studied plans, strategies and visions. The Council includes a distinguished group of academics, specialists, experts and representatives from various local and global academic and research institutions. Enhancing Performance Quality The CEO of TRENDS emphasized that the announcement of the Council’s reshaping aligns with the Center’s Bronze Jubilee and is a translation of its global strategic plan, which is based on the slogan “Foreseeing the Future Through Knowledge”. The reshaping is part of TRENDS’ efforts to enhance performance quality across its various sectors and broaden its scientific and practical expertise, contributing to providing deep foresight and precise scientific analyses.   A Scientific and Knowledge Reference Members of the Advisory Council expressed their appreciation for being selected in the new formation, affirming that TRENDS has become a distinguished mark in the journey of scientific research at both regional and global levels. The Center provides solid research and studies, as well as modern and accurate analyses, making it a trusted scientific and knowledge reference for many academic institutions, think tanks and researchers worldwide. They emphasized their commitment to supporting TRENDS vision of empowering research and consultancy to achieve sustainable development goals, while also fostering innovation and leadership, reinforcing the Center’s position on the global research stage. They added that they would strive to support research, development and training strategies by providing constructive advice and recommendations, which enhance the Center’s competitiveness in delivering pioneering and unique research that adds value to the scientific research community. Council Composition The newly reshaped Advisory Council includes:
  • Abdullah Majed Al Ali, Director General of the National Library and Archives,
  • Dr. Faisal Obaid Al Ayyan, Director of the Higher Colleges of Technology,
  • Nickolay Mladenov, Director General of the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy,
  • Dr. Ali Saeed bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Abu Dhabi University,
  • Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group,
  • Salem Saeed Al Saeedi, Vice President of Rabdan Academy,
  • Dr. Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri, Chancellor of Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities,
  • Eng. Jassim Mohammed Al Hosani, Advisor to the Chairman of the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi,
  • Dr. Hamad Al Kaabi, CEO of Aletihad News Center.
The Council also includes retired Ambassador Marcel M. Wahba, former U.S. Ambassador to the UAE and President Emeritus of the Gulf Arab States Institute in Washington, Dr. Fatima Saeed Al Shamsi, Deputy Executive Director for Administrative Affairs at Sorbonne University, Professor João Bosco Monte, President of the Brazil African Institute, Dr. Pascal Boniface, Director of the French Institute for International and Strategic Affairs, and Professor Khalil Luo Lin, Dean of the School of Middle Eastern Studies at the Beijing Language and Culture University. The Council’s rapporteur is Abdulhadi Al Hammadi, Head of Public Relations and Media Sector and Office Director of the CEO.
