In a step toward enhancing international academic and research cooperation, TRENDS Research and Advisory signed a memorandum of understanding with Italy’s University of Insubria (Università degli Studi dell’Insubria) as part of its vision to expand its scope of research research and exchange of expertise with leading academic institutions in the world.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, and Giorgio Maria Zamperetti, Vice Rector for Internationalization at the University of Insubria, in the presence of the Rector of the University, Angelo Tagliabue.
The partnership aims to enhance collaborative research by identifying shared areas of interest and conducting innovative research that contribute to addressing global challenges. It also covers exchange of expertise and knowledge, organization of joint workshops and conferences, development of joint training programs, and publication of research findings in prestigious scholarly journals in a way that enrich global knowledge.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali said that this cooperation agreement with the University of Insubria reflects TRENDS’ keenness on building and diversifying strategic partnerships with universities, academic institutions, and international research centers, with the aim of advancing robust scientific research.
Al-Ali added that the agreement provides opportunities for both sides to cooperate in areas scientific research and strategic studies, conduct joint research in a number of knowledge fields, and collaborate in expert and researcher exchange. This will allow both institutions to benefit from their expertise and organize joint scientific and research events.
The CEO of TRENDS highlighted that the agreement opens the way for developing joint academic and research programs, in addition to specialized training programs in collaboration with the TRENDS International Training Institute, targeting young researchers.
Giorgio Maria Zamperetti, Vice Rector for Internationalization at the University of Insubria, emphasized that this agreement offers a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships among the academic and research communities worldwide, which will positively affect the development of joint scientific solutions to global issues and crises while supporting the Sustainable Development Goals.
Zampiretti welcomed cooperation with TRENDS and praised its research efforts and the high quality of its global knowledge production. He stressed the commitment of the University to communicating and strengthening partnerships with research institutions and centers in the Middle East in order to foster knowledge and expertise exchange and carry out joint research projects that contribute to addressing global issues with scientific insights.
