TRENDS Research & Advisory continued its presence at GITEX 2025 for the third consecutive day, participating in the Cybersecurity Council pavilion, focusing on integrating research with innovation. This was achieved through an advanced Knowledge Corner that included the TRENDS Smart Robot and a display of the latest research publications on digital transformation and information security.

Ethical Visions

TRENDS plays a pioneering role in discussing future issues. It was represented by Essa Al-Mannai, a researcher specializing in artificial intelligence, who participated in a panel discussion organized by the UAE Public Prosecution, The Ethical Governance Framework for AI in Criminal Justice.

In his intervention, Al-Mannai highlighted the importance of establishing robust ethical frameworks to address the massive increase in data, emphasizing that “data has become a fundamental pillar of modern life” and that the main challenge lies in ensuring AI governance that preserves user privacy while encouraging responsible innovation.

The session concluded by emphasizing that integrating data into the justice service is the foundation for achieving a balance between technological development and the protection of individual rights, thus enhancing confidence in the criminal justice system supported by AI.

TRENDS Robot

The TRENDS Knowledge Corner attracted widespread interest from exhibition visitors. Here, they were introduced to TRENDS’ most prominent research initiatives in artificial intelligence and future policies. They particularly praised the TRENDS Smart Robot, which showcased the center’s activities and latest studies.

This dual participation in research and technology reaffirms TRENDS’ commitment to consolidating its position as a leading knowledge platform serving future development by linking scientific research with technological innovation.

Research Dialogues

On the other hand, the TRENDS team participating in the exhibition toured several pavilions of government agencies and private companies participating in the event, where they exchanged views and explored prospects for joint knowledge and research cooperation in advanced technology and artificial intelligence.

These meetings are part of TRENDS Research & Advisory’s commitment to strengthening partnerships between the academic and executive sectors, contributing to anticipating the digital future, and disseminating knowledge.
