Under the theme “Hand in Hand, We Celebrate 50 Years,” TRENDS Research & Advisory marked Emirati Women’s Day, observed annually on August 28, recognizing women’s central role in the nation’s progress and development.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, honored the Center’s female employees, noting that women make up nearly half of the TRENDS team. He praised their outstanding contributions to advancing the Center’s intellectual and research mission and their role in nurturing a generation that is aware, capable, and committed to shaping a sustainable future.

“Emirati women have demonstrated their ability to lead transformations and shape the future,” Dr. Al-Ali said. “Their successes today result from a national vision that has always placed people at the heart of development.” He reaffirmed TRENDS’ commitment to empowering women in knowledge and research by providing a supportive environment and exceptional opportunities to develop their skills. He added that empowering young women in strategic thinking represents a sustainable investment in the UAE’s future and strengthens its standing as a nation of innovation and leadership.
TRENDS’ female employees expressed gratitude for the recognition, affirming that it reflects the supportive work environment the Center fosters. Alanoud Al-Hosani, researcher and Chairperson of the TRENDS Youth Council, said: “We are proud to be part of an institution that values our efforts and believes in our potential. This recognition is not just an honor, but a motivation for us to do more and contribute even more effectively to achieving the Center’s mission.”

Warda Al-Menhali, Director of the Corporate Communication Department and TRENDS’ Al Ain Office, added: “This recognition from TRENDS allows us to be true partners in knowledge creation and scientific research. It reflects the wise leadership’s vision for empowering Emirati women. The contributions of TRENDS’ female researchers and employees will enrich research content and leave a positive mark on the UAE’s sustainable development journey.”
