TRENDS Concludes Busy Research Expedition in Greece: Active Engagement at Thessaloniki Int’l Book Fair, Insightful Discussions, and Fruitful Research partnerships

TRENDS Research & Advisory has concluded its research and scientific expedition in Greece, as part of its European tour, prioritizing collaboration with key research institutions and fostering a more robust mutual presence of research and knowledge between the region and Europe.

The journey to Greece, marked by active participation in the “Thessaloniki International Book Fair,” reached its pinnacle with the distinguished presence of Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Book Authority, serving as the guest of honor at the 2024 Fair. She lauded TRENDS Research & Advisory for its dedication to research and knowledge, recognizing its consistent involvement in international cultural forums. She emphasized the vital role of book fairs as platforms for cultural exchange, achievement showcase, and fostering dialogue and understanding.

       

Throughout the three-day tour, TRENDS set up a lively booth at the book fair showcasing a rich array of research products with a global perspective. Additionally, it orchestrated a panel discussion on cultural relations between the GCC and Greece, spotlighting the importance of effective communication in nurturing cooperation and positive perceptions. The symposium also underscored the significance of collaboration in bolstering peace and prosperity in the Eastern Mediterranean, highlighting the comprehensive strategic partnership between Greece and the United Arab Emirates in upholding stability and security.

       

At the fair, TRENDS set up a lively booth showcasing a variety of research projects from around the world. They also organized a talk on cultural ties between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Greece, stressing the importance of good communication in building cooperation and positive relationships. The discussion also emphasized how working together can bring peace and prosperity to the Eastern Mediterranean.

Aligned with TRENDS’ mission as a global knowledge hub, the Center’s researchers engaged in insightful discussions with esteemed Greek institutions such as the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP), the Department of Southeast European Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and the Center for International Strategic Analyses (KEDISA). These talks centered on exploring avenues for joint research cooperation and emphasizing scientific research’s pivotal role in fostering dialogue and disseminating knowledge.

       

Dr. Mohammad Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, hailed the success of the Greek expedition and participation in the book fair, highlighting the valuable partnerships forged with top Greek research institutions, the sharing of TRENDS’ global research insights on regional developments, and the reciprocal exchange of expertise. Dr. Al-Ali reiterated TRENDS’ commitment to strengthening research relations with international institutions, further solidifying its role as a bridge for global knowledge sharing.
